Marcia Fox

For 35 years I was a 6th and 8th grade teacher. I began my teaching career at Fort Riley in an elementary building. I soon learned the advantages of combining reading with social studies. After 8 years, I moved to Wamego where I taught both in an elementary and middle school. During that time I was primarily a social studies teacher but occasionally had the opportunity to teach reading also. I received my bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and my Masters in the Art of Teaching from Emporia State University. I have been the curriculum specialist at the Kansas Historical Society since 2007.
